An Educational Institution struggling for survival.

The American College is a reputed  Christian Minority Institution situated in South India. It was founded in the year 1881 by Christian Missionaries. In recent years, the college has been witnessing unruly things inside the campus. The clash for the Post of Principal and Secretary between two factions has caused academic disturbance since 2008.

One faction led by Dr.T.Chinnaraj Joseph Jaikumar, former Principal and Secretary of the college accuses the rival faction which is led by Dr.Davamani Christober,Professor of Mathematics and Son-in-law of Late.Rt.Rev.A.Christopher Asir,CSI Bishop of Madurai-Ramnad diocese who was also the chairman of the college of trying to lease the college property for commercial purpose.

Dr.Davamani faction accuses their rival faction of trying to bring the college under companies act.The College is governed by Governing Council and it is registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860.At present there are two Governing Council. The Governing Council which was recently formed appointed Dr.Davamani as Principal but the Government has refused to give approval because the validity of the Governing Council is pending in court.

The Innocent Students are victimized in this struggle for power,Outwardly the college project itself to be running peacefully but inside the students are witnessing anti-social activities.Dr.T.Chinnaraj faction took classes under the trees for few months protesting against what they call as the illegal appointment of Dr.Davamani as Principal.Dr.Davamani retaliated by instigating violence on Dr.T.Chinnaraj faction.

The College is enjoying a minority status,so the Government and Law Enforcing agencies were very careful in taking decision related to this issue. It is sad to note that Teachers who should be the role model for younger generation is guiding the students in a wrong path.People who are in responsible post receiving bribes and fail to do their duty is also a great stumbling block to find a solution for this problem.

Indian National Congress is not the oldest political party.

Indian National Congress was founded on 28th December 1885 and it existed until 12th November 1969. The present Indian National Congress is one of the two major political parties in India but it is not the oldest democratic party in the world. It emerged only in the year 1969 and it’s founder is Mrs.Indira Gandhi.

Pre-Independence Era
Indian National Congress was formed by the suggestion of A.O.Hume,a British Servant. The purpose of the formation is for better communication between educated Indians and British Raj but within few years the party became active in Indian Independence Movement. In 1907 the party was split into two (extremist and moderates). After World War I,Mahatma Gandhi converted the party to an organization and made the party a powerful mass organization.

Pro-Independence Era
Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel wanted to dissolve the party, according to them the party was created to achieve Independence. In 1950 a tug of war broke between Nehru’s Socialist wing and Patel’s Congress traditionalists. With Patel’s death in 1950,the power shifted to Nehru and many prominent members who opposed Nehru’s view were marginalized.

Nehru’s death in 1964,put the party’s future in question. K. Kamaraj the then president of the All India Congress Committee proposed the Kamaraj Plan.Kamaraj was instrumental in bringing Lal Bahadur Shastri to power in 1964 and Indira Gandhi in 1967. Kamaraj was given the title "kingmaker" in Indian politics and he stepped down as AICC president in 1967.

On 12 November 1969 Indira Gandhi was expelled from the Congress party for violating the party discipline.Indian National Congress adopted a right-wing agenda and distrusted soviet union whereas Indira Gandhi adopted a populist,left-wing agenda. Finally the party was split and Indira Gandhi formed a rival organization which was called as Indian National Congress (R),R-Stands for  Requisition or Indian National Congress (I),I-Stands for Indira.

Indira Gandhi’s break away group was recognized as Indian National Congress by the Election Commission of India because of her control over the State Machinery. The Original Indian National Congress came to be known as the Indian National Congress (Organisation) or "Old Congress".It is sometimes also called as Syndicate. Kingmaker K.Kamaraj and later Morarji Desai became the leader.Morarji Desai served as Prime Minister of the Janata government from 1977 to 1979.In 1971 the Old Congress merged with the Bharatiya Lok Dal and few other parties to form the Janata Party. Thus,The Present Indian National Congress is a break away of the Original Congress.

Why not Mr.Jagan Mohan Reddy? In Congress Style.

Indian National Congress is known for it’s dynasty rule.If Mr.Rajiv Gandhi can become Prime Minister after the assassination of Mrs.Indira Gandhi and Mrs.Sonia Gandhi as Congress Party President after the assassination of Mr.Rajiv Gandhi. Why can’t Mr.Jagan Mohan Reddy, after the death of his father Y.S.Rajesekar Reddy who played a key role in bringing back Congress to power in Andhra Pradesh.

Congress was never against dynasty rule,as like other political parties of India, but it suffers from Populist phobia.Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy is as popular as his father in Andhra Pradesh region because his father as Chief Minister from 14-05-2004 to 02-09-2009 has introduced many welfare schemes which benefited people to a large extent. The opponent party made many allegations against Y.S.Rajesekara Reddy and his Son Mr.Jagan Mohan Reddy,As they belonged to Congress party, the Congress High Command rejected the allegations. When Y.S.Rajesekara Reddy died in crash, the congress was moved by the popularity of Y.S.R’s family and it irritated them.

Congress knows very well that in order to retain its power in Andhra Pradesh Y.S.R’s family should remain with them. The popularity issue seems to be dominating the minds of Congress owners than the power issue. So,they started to take control over Mr.Jagan.Congress high command thought, that Mr.Jagan will yield to their pressure and stay in congress as a puppet. They never expected that he would launch a party and Congress knows very well that they could not stand against his popularity,So,the only option is to bring corruption charges against him and to prove it,thinking that he will lose his popularity.

What will people of India gain,If Mr.Jagan is jailed?
Do the Government confiscate the money and use it for the welfare of Andhra Pradesh ?
or it will be shared by the richest politicians? or Mr.Jagan Mohan Reddy will have it,when he comes out of jail?
It is entirely political vendetta against Mr.Jagan and Congress is trying to fool the people, saying that the law is doing it’s duty.

People of India are caught in a situation that they cannot judge whether the person they are going to vote is corrupt or not, because majority of the politicians are corrupt. They just want the politicians to introduce and implement welfare's for them.Y.S.R’s family is known for the welfare's,they did for the people.Mr.Jagan Mohan Reddy is not only a politician but a business man too.

Mrs.Indira Gandhi humiliated K.Kamaraj, the King Maker in 1967 as a result congress split into two groups.K.Kamaraj was the one who was instrumental in bringing Mrs.Indira Gandhi to power. As a result Congress was uprooted from Tamil Nadu.Mrs.Indira Gandhi having power over the State Machinery gained popularity and won the election.

Congress usually digs its own grave. It can be very well concluded, that Congress cannot form government in the center with it’s own.The polls say, that Mr.Jagan Mohan Reddy will sweep the by-polls.In future Congress will be uprooted from Andhra Pradesh too,Congress can form government at the center only with the help of alliances and if it happens,Congress will be reduced lower than the regional party and the alliances will dominate them.If such is the case, there will not be any oneness in decision making and our country will be left in a confused state.
